Right on Lake Lowell, the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge is located at
13751 Upper Embankment Rd. Nampa, ID.
This is a beautiful place to visit for any outdoor enthusiat or outdoor lover. Start at the interactive visitors center, perfect for children. After you have your fill of bird education head out to explore the wildlife first hand. You can even enjoy a family hike, it would be the perfect distance for a 4 yr old, just over the mile round trip with a few hills. The look out at the end is beautiful.
