This annual community event celebrated it 25th anniversary on Saturday November 13th. Over 6,000 community volunteers gathered to rake the yard of Boise seniors and disabled residents. This is a great opportunity to serve in the community. So if you missed it this year remember it for next year. It might become an annual tradition for you.
Everyone is welcome to serve. Make sure you dress warm, bring your gloves, a rake and a positive attitude. If you are feeling service oriented you could assemble a team for next year. Use your friends and family, coworkers, or even a sports team.
It is amazing how many leaves some people have in their yards. One year a group I was with raked the leaves for an elderly woman in the valley. We filled 32 of the recycle leaf bags. Crazy.
