The original building of South Jr. High was constructed in 1948 on the corner of Cassia and Shoshone. The old school held many memories and a lot of history. In 2008 the new South Jr. High was opened to many generations of the future. In order for the new building to be constructed the old building was torn except one part of the original building. The corner where the library had been located was converted into amphitheater. There are also signs that tell about the history of the school and some memories of past students.
