The building was started in 1987 and completed in Oct 1988 just in time for the holiday season. The mall was originally called Boise Mall at Westpark, then the Westpark Mall and then to its current name Boise Towne Square Mall. The mall started with 3 anchor stores, all that were previously located in downtown; Sears, JC Penny's and The Bon Marche. Since then Dillard's and Borders have been added as anchor stores. The mall has over 186 stores, not including the Boise Towne Plaza featuring Old Navy, and Pier 1 and Petsmart as free standing stores.
The current hours are
Monday-Saturday: 10:00am-9:00pm
Sunday: 11:00am-7:00pm
With the holidays approaching the mall will be open even later.
