Okay, so I know you are thinking that this might be a place for knitting supplies, because that is what it sounds like, but it is not a store, it is a club, a club for music. Now if you are familiar with the music industry and musical venues, you might know that The Knitting Factory did not start in Boise and is not only in Boise, but it is one of the few venues in the treasure valley to check out great music. It used to be called The Big Easy, but was purchased by Knitting Factory Entertainment making it one of the four clubs throughout the country under the same name (and the best, if you ask me).
It is located at 416 S. 9th St. in downtown Boise in the BoDo Entertainment District.
Some of the concerts this week were 3OH!3, Kottonmouth Kings, Little Big Town and Sara Bareilles (which we went to and it was amazing!!!). Some of the announced acts are Hell's Belles, Guster, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Underoath, and Joshua Radin.
From the above list you can see that no matter what kind of music you listen to there is something for everyone there.
It is also a place where a lot of local bands can build a following. So if you want a chance to get your band on the map, The Knitting Factory could be your place to get noticed. Then get a record contract, become super famous, get a #1 hit, become so Hollywood you lose all your friends and self respect, go into rehab, lose your record contract and finally be on a future episode of "whatever happened to..." Every rock stars dream ;)
So if you can handle being surrounded by lots of drunk people screaming in your ears, possibly getting some weird concoction spilled all over your shoes and rocking out to incredible music, check this place out.

P.S. Sorry there aren't more pictures. Taking pictures is a no-no at most concerts in The Factory and we, The Treasure Hunters, follow the rules. You're just gonna have to get tickets and check it out for yourself.
